Lomnicky peak 2.632 m guided tour
with UIAGM mountain guide
The ascent to the second highest peak of Slovakia in the High Tatras is yet another unalterable experience. Most frequently, the ascent is led from Lomnické Saddle. Those more skilled may climb through Tatarka (Gipsy) route or Jordan route from the Tery refuge.
Ascent duration:
- 4-10 hours according to selected route
Difficulty:
- Normal route suitable for beginners
- Physical condition and climbing coordination required
- Normal route difficulty is II UIAA
- Tatarka (Gipsy) route and Jordan route is II-III UIAA
- Birkenmajer spur III-IV UIAA
- Difficult exposed terrain
- The complete ascent is executed on rope
Necessary equipment:
- High hiking boots (Vibram sole)
- Backpack
- Outdoor clothing
- Gloves, cap
- Food and drink 1.5 l/person
- Spare hoodie (Polartec or Merino Wool)
- magnesium to avoid cramps
- List of necessary equipment
